Kinetic sand is a type of play sand that is designed to be moldable and easy to shape. Ingredients
- 2 cups of fine sand (play sand works best)
- 1 cup of cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap
- 1/4 cup of water
- Dye or Food colouring

Mix Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch and fine sand.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the water and dish soap
- Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring constantly. Keep mixing until the mixture is thoroughly combined.

Make Your Colours
- Divide the dough into several portions, depending on how many colors you want to make.
- Add a small amount of dye or colouring to each portion of dough and knead it until the color is evenly distributed.
- Once you have the desired colors, let the dough rest for a few minutes to allow the colors to deepen.

Ready To Use
Your kinetic sand is now ready to use! Use as a sensory experience or encourage children to use their imagination and create shapes and build with it.
Notes
- If the kinetic sand is too dry, add a small amount of water and knead it into the dough.
- If the kinetic sand is too wet, add a small amount of sand and cornstarch, then knead it into the dough.
- You can store the kinetic sand in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep it fresh for a few days, but it will eventually dry out and crumble.
